VentureOps started as a set of checklists. The company exists because the checklists kept finding the same problems at every business that tried them.
The problem
Small and mid-sized companies publish help content, run websites and collect vendor paperwork, and then nobody re-checks any of it. Help articles describe menus that no longer exist. Contact forms break silently after a redesign. A vendor's insurance lapses and the certificate in the folder is two years old. None of it is anyone's job, so it rots.
The approach
Make it software. Scheduled agents read everything, score what they find, and put the fixes in order. People decide and fix; the platform remembers to look.

Chad Smith, D.Sc.
Chad is a tenured professor of management at Pennsylvania Western University, where he teaches the MBA and undergraduate capstone courses. Before academia he was vice president and part owner of a $15 million industrial manufacturing and fabrication company, responsible for finance, technology, payroll and receivables until its sale. He advises early-stage companies and serves on their boards. He founded VentureOps in Sarasota, Florida in 2026.
