COI Compliance Check

Every vendor certificate, read and verified against your requirements.

COI Compliance Check extracts carrier, coverage types, limits, additional insured status and expiration dates from vendor certificates of insurance, then verifies each one against the requirements you set.

What it catches

Coverage gaps

A required policy type is missing: general liability, auto, workers' comp, umbrella, professional.

Limits below requirement

Per-occurrence or aggregate limits under your threshold, by vendor category.

Missing endorsements

Additional insured, waiver of subrogation, or primary and non-contributory wording not present.

Expirations

Policies expiring in 30, 60 and 90 days, with renewal requests sent automatically on Growth plans.

Mismatched names

Certificate holder or insured name that does not match your vendor record.

Unreadable certificates

Scans too poor to extract, flagged for a manual request rather than silently passed.

How it works

Set requirements

Define coverage and limit requirements per vendor category. We provide templates for property management, construction and events.

Collect

Forward certificates by email, upload PDFs, or connect a shared drive folder.

Extract and verify

Agents read each certificate and compare every field against your requirements.

Track

A compliance dashboard by vendor, expiration calendar, and renewal reminders.

Questions

Is this insurance advice?

No. VentureOps verifies that a certificate matches the requirements you define. It does not recommend coverage or interpret policy language.

What file types?

PDF and image certificates, including ACORD 25 forms and carrier-specific layouts.

What about certificates it cannot read?

They are flagged for a manual request, never marked compliant by default.

Is there a pilot?

Yes. Send a batch of certificates and your requirement set and we return a verified compliance report before you commit.
